My second oldest got locked out of their Gmail account when upgrading to newer phone. We had to do a SIM swap as well. Regardless of us having access to the phone number, the password for whatever reason Google cannot authenticate the account. So the hell with Gmail. Thankfully the steam account was basically empty. So only a R1.2k Loss. But I will never trust Gmail again for important stuff.
I am thinking to test out Proton or Zoho but I have never used the services. Any thoughts on them…
