Someone called her from a Standard Bank number (according to Truecaller) and claimed to be from Standard Bank Fraud Department. It turns out that they were not from Standard Bank (likely spoofed phone number), but she logged into her Standard Bank Online to check while on the call. This was enough for them to get into her account and to clean it out, via transfers to Capitec Bank.
She did not provide them with any information…
