Vodacom SA operating profit takes a hit from Makate settlement
Vodacom South Africa recorded a decline in operating profit in its latest interim financial year, in part due to a settlement with Please Call Me idea-man Nkosana Kenneth Makate.
In the six months ended 30 September 2025, Vodacom South Africa’s operating profit was R8.76 billion, down 11% from the R9.84 billion recorded over the same period in the previous year.
