Blow for solar power prices in Cape Town
The City of Cape Town (CoCT) will continue to require sign-off from professionals registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (Ecsa) for home and small business rooftop solar systems.
That is despite many energy experts and Eskom itself regarding sign-off by an electrician, which is far more affordable, as sufficient assurance that a system is technically sound and safe.
