I’m leaving, but I still want to receive SMSs from banks and WhatsApp when I eventually replace my phone or loose access to some important SA service.
So my main idea is to port to Telkom prepaid, enable roaming and keep the SIM in my backup phone, which is compatible with Telkom VoWifi. I’ll try to keep this phone in a separate location.
But I want to register that SIM in the name of a trusted relative who still lives in South Africa. So, if it’s lost, stolen or broken, then I can still…
