BMW sounds alarm over cheap Chinese and Indian car imports
The CEO of BMW Group South Africa, Peter van Binsbergen, has raised concerns over the impact of the flood of cheap Chinese and Indian cars on the second-hand car market.
Binsbergen stated that BMW was doing well despite the influx, but cautioned that it could be damaging the used-car market in South Africa, which is “essential to keep the whole ecosystem running”.
