I don;t know what is going on but it seems as if the “in thing” in motoring is to have your car backfire when changing gears or taking your foot off the accelerator!
I live close to a major road and it is almost an hourly thing that cars go by with constant backfires all the way up and down the road.
I am not a mechanic, but surely this constant backfiring cannot be healthy for an engine?
