Electricity distributor halts service in South African township
City Power has suspended all services in Alexandra until further notice following an attack on one of its technicians inside the Alexandra Service Delivery Centre.
The municipal entity said that the technician was on his way to tend to an outage affecting residents along 2nd and 7th Avenue when he was “violently assaulted” by protesting residents.
