South Africa’s digital skills plans are a complete mess
Determining whether the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) is on track to reach its goal of training one million South Africans with digital skills by 2030 is a significant challenge.
Former communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams announced the goal during her 2018 Budget Vote speech. However, subsequent updates have been conflicting.
