Eskom solar registration warning
Eskom is continuing to use satellite imagery to detect grid-tied rooftop solar installations that are not registered in its small-scale embedded generation (SSEG) database.
The power utility has observed a notable increase in registration of small-scale embedded generation systems (SSEGs) since simplifying its compliance requirements in October 2025.
