Frans Cronje says South Africa’s green energy plan is unrealistic
Economic and political expert Dr Frans Cronje believes that South Africa should avoid shutting down its ageing coal power stations and rather refurbish underperforming plants.
Speaking in a recent episode of The Common Sense podcast, Cronje criticised the Integrated Resource Plan 2025’s shift towards green energy and the planned decommissioning of coal power plants by 2040.
