is it possible to go off grid given this announcement? I am currently being billed by ESKOM direct. Surely I can ask ESKOM to disconnect me, take my deposit and move on?

R1 615 over 24 months equates to R38 760 – it might be worth adding an extra battery and a few extra solar panels which should enable me to go off grid.
