Afrikaans Uber rival asking for trouble
Recently launched Afrikaans e-hailing service Wanatu could face legal trouble over its policy of only hiring Afrikaans-speaking drivers, according to attorney and labour law specialist Craig Kirchmann.
Kirchmann told Newzroom Afrika that Wanatu’s hiring policy appears to be straightforward discrimination against people in South Africa who don’t speak Afrikaans.
