DStv put 10 streaming pirates behind bars in one year
DStv owner MultiChoice has been on a mission to tackle the scourge of streaming pirates in South Africa, with its raids in 2024 resulting in the arrest of at least ten suspects.
The pay-TV broadcaster has taken a zero-tolerance approach to streaming pirates, and broadcast cybersecurity anti-piracy director at MultiChoice-owned Irdeto Frikkie Jonker has warned that it could come after viewers.
