The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) has warned that Eskom is chasing away some of its best customers by increasing grid connection tariffs and threatening penalties against people who don’t register their solar power systems.
“It’s quite frustrating to have government incentivising the public to go off-grid, give you tax incentives through SARS — begging you to go off grid,” Outa CEO Wayne Duvenage told 702’s Money Show.
