South African fibre Internet users consuming hundreds of terabytes per year
One of South Africa’s largest Internet service providers (ISPs) saw multiple customers consume hundreds of terabytes of data during the year.
South Africa’s Internet traffic has surged in recent years. In November 2025, the country’s largest Internet exchange point, NAPAfrica, reached peak traffic of six terabits per second (Tbps).
