R744,000 down the drain
South Africa’s R744,000 DigiTech.gov.za website has been inaccessible since around June 2024, and the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies has been silent about the downtime.
Its latest update came in August 2024, when it said it was finalising the process of appointing a new service provider to manage the DigiTech platform.
