Batteries catch fire at Standard Bank offices in South Africa
Standard Bank has confirmed that a fire broke out in a container housing lithium-ion batteries and other equipment supporting the solar power system at its Constantia office complex in Roodepoort.
The container is located outside Standard Bank’s buildings, but within the office park. Emergency services were immediately dispatched and managed the situation. No employees or customers were injured.
