Observation over the last several years, but especially in the last 2 – 3 months, in SA…..
Retail customers paying with cash are increasingly being treated as 2nd-class citizens.
I have my own suspicions as to why this is happening.
Just this week a teacher in Ireland had their bank account frozen for declining to use gender pronouns (a case of compelled speech).
Note: It would be very different if the plan was to run a dual system perpetually, which made digital-payments purely…
