Fibre cancellations and downgrade penalties in South Africa
South Africa’s top fibre network operators (FNOs) have widely differing policies on cancellations and downgrades, with some charging nothing while others claw back well over R2,000 in some instances.
The majority of South African homes with fibre connections effectively have two service providers. The FNO is responsible for the physical infrastructure that connects the customer’s house.
