Scatec launches second-largest solar power farm in South Africa
Norwegian firm Scatec ASA has commenced commercial operation at its new 273MW Grootfontein PV solar power farm in the Western Cape.
The farm is expected to generate 700 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean energy annually, leading to an estimated abatement of 630,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
