Important information for people with solar panels on their roofs in South Africa
The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) says any threats from Eskom or municipalities of fines or disconnections for failing to register their rooftop solar systems are impractical, irrational, and unfair.
Eskom has previously said that it can cut off non-registered customers as their solar systems could pose a threat to the safety of the grid and its workers.
